The Punjab government has revealed a comprehensive plan to manage traffic before the X -season matches in the Pakistani League (PSL) in Lahore, with the aim of reducing the turmoil, as the city hosts a series of high -level chickpea games. With Lahore prepares to host many major matches, including the Great End on May 18, the authorities are taking strategic steps to ensure a balance between daily life and the city’s passion for Cricket.
All PSL matches in Lahore are scheduled to be determined as night confrontations, as they start at 7:00 pm. This raised concerns about traffic congestion, especially about school hours and the timing of matching. To face these challenges, the District Administration announced the revised study hours of institutions near the Gaddafi Stadium, from April 24 to May 18. Schools will now work from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm during this period, which helps to cool the traffic flow and avoid overlap.

Although the stadium is close to the main traffic roads, the government confirmed that the main roads in Lahore – including Road Mall, Rod Channel, Prison Road, Main Street, and Gulberg Road – will remain open throughout the PSL season. Any closing on the roads will be brief and is implemented only for the safe and time movements between the accommodations and the stadium.
Lahore’s hosting duties will start officially on April 24, with an exciting clash between Lahore Ganders and Beshawar Zalami. The Gaddafi stadium is scheduled to be the center of excitement in the cricket game, with a large share of 34 PSL X matches that take place there.
The pre -emptive traffic strategy reflects coordinated efforts between city officials, security planners and educational institutions to ensure that the Lahore Routine is not severely affected by cricket celebrations.
