Salman Iqbal, the owner of Karachi Kings, has opened the reason behind the trading star trading in Babar Ozal before the Pakistan Sector (PSL) 2023.
In a recent explicit interview, Iqbal participated that the decision was taken due to a dispute over the position of Babar Al -Dhud.
“We wanted to strike in third place, but he was not ready to change his role. That is why we had no choice but to release him,” he explained.
Babar, known for his strong preference to open the roles, played the majority of his career in T20 in this position – internationally and in the cricket game. Of the 90 PSL roles, it opened 76 times, recorded 3,103 running at an impressive rate of 47.01 and the strike rate of 129.13. Its record includes 28 fifties and two centuries.
However, the latter’s door shape as an openness has become under the lights. In the continuous PSL 10 season, it was rejected due to a duck in the opening match against Quetta Compaurs and followed it with one badge against Islamabad United.
His struggles are not limited to the league. Since Nepal’s 151 was hit in August 2023, he has not registered a horn in any way. Even during the Tri-Nation Odi series with New Zealand and South Africa, where he opened along with a time pottery, he could not deliver him, as he scored 10, 23 and 29.
Despite its poor operation, the team management continued to support it during the recently concluded ICC Champions Cup during the ICC Cup. Babar was unable to make a major influence there as well, with 64 against New Zealand and only 23 against India in the group stages.
